Pet Clips
|
Groomer 2
Go Mobile Grooming provides quality Pet Clips for your animal companion.
|
|
"Pet clips" are for the “family” dog and are easily performed in as short of time as possible. This provides the ultimate in comfort for the dog.
"Show clips" are for dogs that were specifically bred and raised to be Show Dogs.
These clips take a long period of time, (requiring a lot of well-learned patience from the dog) providing the essence of style. Show dogs are trained at a very early age to sit on a table for hours at a time to achieve the “Show Dog Look”.
|
|
|
|
|
If a “pet/family” dog is expected to have a Show Clip it should be trained at a young age to handle these extended periods of grooming.
Expecting an inexperienced dog to sit on a table for hours at a time for their grooming is simply unfair!

*plucking ear hair is only
for certain breeds*
I will not pluck the hair if the ear hair has already matured, this will cause
unnecessary discomfort & pain to your dog, so make sure the ear hair is
plucked ASAP, usually by the first or second grooming, at about 2-4 months of
age.
I plucked my Shih Tzu's ear hair at 9 weeks of age & very little hair grew
back in her ears! The hair is just fuzz at that young of an age & she did
not even know what I did, so the sooner the better.
Plucking helps to prevent future ear infections from occurring!!

Includes:
* The majority of my clients bathe their dog, either before (if the coat
has no mats) or after. Bathing the day before or the day after is
usually the best as the grooming process will be shorter, resulting in an
even easier visit on your dog!
* Only available for breeds small enough to fit either in a kitchen sink or
laundry tub - it is hard on my back to bend over for long periods of time over
a bath tub, sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

You should have your Veterinarian perform
an internal expression of your dog's anal glands at least 1-2 times a year (your
vet may recommend more or less frequently if needed).
Expressing the glands
internally is essential to protect against glands becoming full or compacted.
Qualified Groomer's should only provide external expression of your
dog's anal glands. External expression will only help to temporarily relieve any
possible pressure, but will not alone protect against compacted glands.
I only
provide this service knowing that I am working with your vet & not in place
of your vet. Compacted glands is a very serious & painful condition.
As a preventative measure to protect your dog, regular visits with both your vet
& your groomer is essential.
Signs associated with full or compacted
anal glands are:
- wimpering, whining or crying
- running their rear
end along the ground
- sudden change in your dog's temperment, such as being
aggressive due to the constant pressure & soreness of the anal glands
- Obsessive behavior, such as licking parts of their body (paws, hindquarters
etc..) due to the constant pressure & soreness of the anal glands. An
obsessive behavior can easily evolve into a chronic illness if not resolved
quickly.

(as with many businesses) or a $35 charge will be applied to your next grooming visit. Thank you for your
cooperation in this matter.
